It is the temple where Hindus worship their Gods. It is very beautiful building, it is built with ancient architecture technics. There are many ancient Kovils in Sri Lanka. Most of them are in the North region of Sri Lanka.

Independence Square
Independence Memorial Hall (also Independence Commemoration Hall) is a national monument in Sri Lanka built for commemoration of the independence of Sri Lanka from the British rule with the restoration of full governing responsibility to a Ceylonese-elected legislature on February 4, 1948. It is located at the Independence Square (formerly Torrington Square) in the Cinnamon Gardens, Colombo. There is a memorial museum in the ground floor of the building.

Nelum Pokuna
The Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre is a performing arts center in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The theatre opened on 15 December 2011. It is built according to a shape of a Lotus flower.

The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is mostly used for many major events, exhibitions of Sri Lanka.

Gangaramaya Temple
The temple’s architecture demonstrates an eclectic mix of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architecture.This Buddhist temple includes several imposing buildings and is situated not far from the placid waters of Beira Lake on a plot of land that was originally a small hermitage on a piece of marshy land. It has the main features of a Vihara (temple), the Cetiya (Pagada) the Bodhitree, the Vihara Mandiraya, the Seema malaka (assembly hall for monks) and the Relic Chamber. In addition, a museum, a library, a residential hall, a three storeyed Pirivena, educational halls and an alms hall are also on the premises.Most notable for tourists is the architecture of the Simamalaka Shrine, which was built with donations from a Muslim sponsor to the design of Geoffrey Bawa.

Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka.It was established by the Sri Lankan Department of Wildlife Conservation in 1975 for feeding and providing care and sanctuary to orphaned baby elephants that were found in the wild. There you can see many baby elephants and adult elephants who were bought for special care. Baby elephants are feed many times a day. You can participate with that to watch how nice the baby elephants.

Habarana – Anuradhapuraya  (1h 04min – 59.3 km)

Habarana is a small city in the Anuradhapura District of Sri Lanka. The location has some mid-range and up hotels aimed at package tourists, and is a departure point for other nearby locations of greater interest. Habarana is a popular tourist destination for safari lovers as it is the starting point for safaris in the nearby Habarana jungle and the Minneriya sanctuary which is heavily populated by elephants. Elephant back riding is also an attraction in this small city. Habarana is situated nearby to the ancient rock fortress and castle/palace ruin of Sigiriya.

Habarana – Kandy

Kandy is a large city in central Sri Lanka. It’s set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city’s heart is scenic Kandy Lake (Bogambara Lake), which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famed for sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, celebrated with the grand Esala Perahera annual procession.

Habarana – Dambulla (30min – 23.5 km)

Esala Perahara is the feat of Temple Tooth which is held on July. It is a grand festival celebrated with elegant costumes, this festival is a unique symbol of Sri Lankan culture, and the procession consists of many traditional local dances such as fire-dances, whip-dances, Kandyan dances and various other cultural dances, in addition to the elephants who are usually adorned with lavish garments.

Tea plantation is mostly done in up country of Sri Lanka, Ceylon tea is one of Sri Lanka’s primary exports. It all started when British-born James Taylor first began developing Ceylon tea at the country’s first tea estate, Loolecondera, in 1867. Located in Kandy’s hill-country, the estate’s tea plantations soon spawned a tea factory and Sri Lanka’s tea industry has been growing ever since. As many as 28 different grades of Ceylon tea are produced at plantations across the island, from the country’s biggest tea-growing region, Sabaragamuwa, to the sparsely populated Uva province in the south east. There are many tea estates in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. There are many tea factories you can when you visit these area.

Madu River Safari
You can go for a river safari in Balpitiya. It is a little and peaceful town in Galle district, It is famous because of this river. Madu River is very rich in biodivesity. It passes through the wet zone of Sri Lanka opening up into the large Madu Lagoon on its way to the Indian Ocean.

Turtle hatching
The main laying season is from October to April, but some eggs can be found at Kosgoda throughout the year. The beaches of Sri Lanka are the nesting grounds for five species of marine turtles. They are the Green Turtle, the Leatherback, the Hawksbill, the Loggerhead and the Olive Ridley.
